Martin J. Williams majored in drawing while at the Alberta College of Art and Design. His works have been shown in City Hall of Calgary, the Nova Exhibition, and the Illingworth Kerr Gallery. 

 

"I've often struggled mainly between wanting to more directly explore elements of design in abstraction or to convey the story telling abilities found in realism. The Tranquilinear series seems like a wonderful way I could continue to do both.

 

These drawings represents an important transition for me as they are when I realised the direction I wanted my work to go in after graduating. "
